Day 1: Sunrise Peak & Afternoon K-Drama (East) 🎬

  • Morning: Start at Seongsan Ilchulbong. Watching the sun rise over the ocean is the most iconic way to begin your Jeju trip. Seongsan Ilchulbong and Seopjikoji are just a 10-minute drive apart, so they make the perfect back-to-back morning combination — maximum coastal drama with minimal driving.
  • Afternoon: After lunch, make your way to Gwangchigi Beach. Tucked between Seongsan Ilchulbong and Seopjikoji, it offers a sweeping panoramic view of the iconic sunrise crater. At low tide, receding water reveals beautiful green moss-covered volcanic rocks — a dream spot for photos. Next, follow the coast down to Ojo Port, the main filming location of the beloved K-drama Welcome to Samdal-ri (μ›°μ»΄νˆ¬ 삼달리). This quiet, unhurried harbor instantly brings back the show's warm, heartfelt atmosphere — and feels nothing like a typical tourist stop.
  • Dinner: Enjoy Braised Hairtail (Galchi-jorim) in the Gujwa-eup area.
☀️ Sunny's Tip If you're visiting Seongsan Ilchulbong early for the sunrise, keep in mind that the Haenyeo (sea women) performance takes place at 2:00 PM. A relaxed lunch after your morning exploration gives you the perfect window to catch it at the Haenyeo's House.

  • Dinner: Reward yourself with a steaming bowl of Sot-bap (stone pot rice) — you've earned it.

Day 3: Emerald Waters & Sunset Stroll 🌊

  • Morning: Start with a short, rewarding hike up Seoubong Peak — just 20 minutes to the top, but the payoff is a sweeping panoramic view of Jeju's northern coastline and layers of emerald sea below. Once you come back down, head straight to the stunning Gimnyeong Beach and its neighbor, Segial Beach. These twin beaches are famous for the vivid contrast between turquoise waves and dramatic black volcanic rocks — some of the most photogenic coastal scenery on the entire east coast. While you're in the area, look out for the filming location of the hit K-drama When Life Gives You Tangerines (폭삭 μ†μ•˜κ΅¬λ‹€), right in front of the Cafe Delmoondo Gimnyeong branch. Grab a morning coffee, soak in the ocean view, and snap photos where the drama was filmed.
  • Afternoon: After a morning of exploring, it's time to get in the water. You have two great options depending on your vibe. For a quieter, more natural swimming experience surrounded by lava rocks, stay at Gimnyeong Beach. If you prefer wide white sand, shallow turquoise water, and easy access to showers and changing facilities, head over to Hamdeok Beach. Either way, it's the perfect way to wash off the morning's hike.
  • Dinner: Black Pork BBQ near Hamdeok — a must-do Jeju classic.
☀️ Sunny's Tip Don't miss the May–June wildflowers at Seoubong! The climb is short but the views are massive. Pack a light windbreaker — the coastal breeze can be surprisingly strong even on warm days.

Day 4: Songdang Donghwa Village & Local Market Charm 🎁

  • Morning: Begin your final day at Songdang Donghwa Village (솑당 λ™ν™”λ§ˆμ„), a beautifully landscaped park that showcases Jeju's volcanic stone and native flora. It's the perfect place for an unhurried morning stroll through theme gardens, picking up unique locally crafted souvenirs, and settling into a cozy cafe for a relaxed brunch surrounded by nature.
  • Afternoon: Depending on your flight schedule and travel dates, two great options await:
    • Option A — Sehwa 5-Day Market (μ„Έν™”λ―Όμ†μ˜€μΌμ‹œμž₯): If your last day falls on a date ending in 0 or 5 (e.g., 5th, 10th, 15th...), don't miss this charming seaside market right on the ocean's edge — an authentic taste of local island life.
    • Option B — Dongmun Traditional Market (μ œμ£Όλ™λ¬Έμ‹œμž₯): Open every day, this is Jeju's largest traditional market and the ultimate last-minute stop for snacks, fresh tangerines, and souvenirs before heading to the airport.

☀️ Sunny's Tip Songdang Donghwa Village is a seasonal paradise — the gardens are free to enter, and the hydrangeas in summer are absolutely stunning. It's the perfect unhurried finale for your Jeju trip. One more thing: Sehwa Market is a traditional 5-day market, open only on dates ending in 5 or 0 (the 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, and 30th). If your travel dates don't line up, Dongmun Market is open every day — and just as rewarding.
